Pacific Rim National Park Reserve
Conservation Objectives
To maintain ecological integrity, restore damaged ecosystems, and protect biodiversity, while also ensuring public understanding and enjoyment of the park.
Prohibitions
Collecting natural or cultural objects, hunting, motorized off-road travel, and using personal watercraft are all prohibited. A fire ban is currently in effect throughout the park.
The park protects a variety of habitats, including the unique coastal temperate rainforest, sandy beaches, and marine environments. Species-at-risk that are found within the park include pink sand-verbena, seaside centipede lichen, grey and southern resident killer whales, and more.
